Do you have equipment and spare parts in stock?
Partly. Our warehouse in St Petersburg holds spare parts for NCT cooling towers and chillers, and the small SVA-1 tower with a 30 m³/h module is always in stock. Standard towers from the stock programme ship in about 2 weeks; others are built to order in 4–8 weeks. Chillers and large towers are selected for the site's duty, so check availability of a specific model with a data sheet. More in the guide "13 mistakes when choosing a cooling tower"
Do you make spare parts for imported cooling towers and evaporative condensers — BAC, Evapco, Decsa?
Yes. The NCT plant makes replacements for original parts of Baltimore Aircoil (BAC), Evapco and Decsa cooling towers and evaporative condensers: spray nozzles, fill, drift eliminators and heat-exchanger coils for closed-circuit towers. Coils are built to order to the dimensions of the old ones, in galvanised or stainless steel, with finned tubes if needed. Every coil is leak-tested at up to 4 MPa before shipment. A made-to-order coil takes 4–8 weeks; standard items take about 2 weeks.
Do you build air-cooled heat exchangers (fin-fan coolers) for oil and gas sites?
Yes. NCT air-cooled heat exchangers come in four types — horizontal, zigzag, low-flow and delta — with 4-, 6- or 8-row bundles. The process fluid can be up to 400 °C, at pressures up to 32.0 MPa or under vacuum down to 665 Pa absolute. They suit cold outdoor climates (U1 and UKhL1 under Russian GOST 15150) and sites up to seismic intensity 7. Above 100 °C or from 10 MPa, you need one rather than a dry cooler. Do you make modular (containerised) cooling plants?
Yes. The NCT modular cooling plant is assembled at the factory: chillers, cooling towers, pump sets, evaporative condensers or dry coolers in one skid or several linked modules, with controls, variable-speed drives and water treatment. On site it is not reworked, only set in place and connected. A pump set can also come on its own in an insulated "Sever" enclosure with heating, ventilation and fire suppression. The plant's make-up is set by inlet and outlet temperatures, flow, fluid and region.
Which documents come with the equipment, and where is it made?
NCT cooling towers, chillers, evaporative condensers and dry coolers carry EAEU declarations of conformity; evaporative condensers comply with TR TS 032/2013 for pressure equipment, control panels with TR TS 004/2011 and 020/2011. Production is ISO 9001 certified. All of this is made at our own plant in Sertolovo near St Petersburg. Absorption chillers are supplied from Thermax and carry EAEU conformity certificates. If you need a pressure-vessel passport or a country-of-origin line in the specification, put it in the tender requirements from the start.
Do you service chillers from other manufacturers?
Yes — not only NCT, but also other brands, including imported machines. Planned maintenance covers diagnostics of all components, replacing filters, oil and worn parts, checking water treatment, cleaning and disinfection, and if needed repairs to heat exchangers, pumps and compressors. You get a report after the work. We commission and service Thermax absorption chillers ourselves. We usually start with the water: in 9 cases out of 10, lost capacity comes down to water quality. We want to replace the fill and spray nozzles in our open cooling tower. What should we send?
The model and serial number from the nameplate; for another manufacturer's tower, the dimensions, the type of the old fill and nozzles, and a description of the water quality. We supply fill, nozzles and drift eliminators for other brands' towers too. Fill is chosen by water quality: film fill cools better but needs clean water; splash fill cools less but tolerates oil and biological fouling. NCT nozzles are polypropylene, so they do not corrode or freeze up. More in "What is a cooling tower"
Can you build a heat exchanger to our specification, and what testing do you confirm?
Yes. We build heat exchangers with plain and finned tubes to order, to the customer's design requirements and envelope. Material is hot-dip galvanised carbon steel or stainless steel; fins are wound onto 16–58 mm tubes on our own line. Every heat exchanger is leak-tested at the factory at up to 4 MPa. For selection we need the process fluid, its pressure, inlet and outlet temperatures, and the allowed dimensions and weight. Need a passport and strength calculation under TR TS 032/2013? State it in the specification upfront.
Can you survey our existing cooling system and give a report?
Yes, that is our on-site survey. Engineers carry out a thermal imaging survey and measure actual temperatures and flows of the heat-transfer fluids and the airflow through the equipment. You then get a technical solution: schematic diagrams, cooling capacity, temperatures and flows, equipment selection, a preliminary cost estimate and a technical specification. A survey makes sense when the system does not hold its duty, design data is missing or an upgrade is planned. More in "Turnkey chiller plant contractor"
Do you carry out cooling tower maintenance and seasonal cleaning?
Yes, for open and closed-circuit towers: planned, routine and repair work. Maintenance covers inspection, bearing lubrication, replacement of worn parts, controls tuning, cleaning and disinfection of the fill, water distribution and drift eliminators, water treatment checks and vibration measurement, so repairs are planned rather than forced by a breakdown. Once a year you get a report on the work and the parts replaced. Pre-season maintenance is done 4 weeks before temperatures settle above +25 °C. More in the summer readiness checklist
Do you make ammonia evaporative condensers to replace old units?
Yes. NCT evaporative condensers of the VRX, SVAX, VAX and HRX series run on ammonia, HFC refrigerants, propane, butane and CO₂, with catalogue capacity of 250 to 3,500 kW per unit. They comply with TR TS 032/2013 and come in seismic-resistant and explosion-proof versions, with Ex d or Ex e motors for ammonia zones. On request, all coil welds are X-ray tested. A replacement is selected on the actual load and site climate, not on the old unit's nameplate. More in our design guides
Do you build field-erected cooling towers for large flows and dirty water?
Yes. Field-erected (sectional) SVA-X and VAB towers are for flows from 500 m³/h and poor-quality water; they arrive in parts and are assembled on site. The frame is galvanised steel, stainless steel for water with pH below 6 or above 8, or FRP where corrosion risk is high. For water with oil and biological contaminants we use splash fill. Fan reversal and heating of problem zones protect against icing. Final capacity is confirmed once the tower reaches its operating duty. More in our design guides
Can an installed NCT cooling tower or chiller be upgraded?
Yes, without full replacement. A cooling tower can get an external heat exchanger to reduce plume, a more powerful motor for higher capacity, and access ladders and platforms. A chiller can get an extra condensing unit for more capacity, free cooling, heat recovery, building management integration and remote access. What will actually help shows up in measurements on the running equipment, so an upgrade usually starts with a survey. More in "How to cut industrial cooling costs"
Can we monitor the equipment remotely if service engineers are far away?
Yes. For NCT equipment we set up a Telegram bot that reports inlet and outlet temperatures, power draw and status — running, stopped, alarm — at intervals from 30 minutes to once a day, and flags any abnormal event immediately. On request, remote control is available: start, stop and alarm reset. For chillers under warranty or a service contract we install a monitoring modem free of charge; it gives view-only access. Thermax absorption chillers can also be connected to remote monitoring.
Do you deliver across Russia and to CIS countries?
Yes. We deliver across Russia, to CIS countries and to other regions by agreement. The transport method depends on dimensions, distance and deadlines; we prepare the shipping documents and, if needed, deliver straight to the installation site. NCT modular equipment arrives as assembled blocks, and if permanent walls block the way in, a cooling tower can be shipped knocked down. Absorption chillers travel by sea, often as oversized cargo and without their solution charge — allow for this in the schedule and the route to site.
